Leopold Kronecker, a famous mathematician, once said:
"God made the integers; all else is the work of man."
Numbers are truly amazing. In this project, presented at a contemporary art festival in 2010, I wanted to visualize the relations between prime numbers and composite ones. Each number is a dot which revolves with a frequency that depends on its magnitude. The bigger the number is, the slower it moves and the further away it is from the center.
Prime numbers are reddish and composite numbers are blue. As the numbers-dots begin to move around, one can see interesting spiral patterns emerging.
